Our Location:  Edmonton

Edmonton is the capital city of Alberta. It is a safe and clean city with a population of over 1,000,000.

There are modern buildings in downtown and many parks around the city. You will enjoy the cityscape and the beautiful natural areas around the river valley. Edmonton also has the modern and the biggest park system in North America. Edmonton's river valley and parks system offers a diverse range of recreation opportunities: off-leash sites, playgrounds, picnic sites, outdoors skating and bicycle and walking trails.

Weather

Spring:    It starts getting warm in the end of March.

Summer: It gets hot during the day, but it sometimes gets cold at night. You may need a jacket   even in summer.

Fall:         Leaves start turning to red and yellow in September, and it starts snowing in the middle  of October.

Winter:    It starts from the end of November and ends in March.

Various Activities

There are many shopping places in downtown and the world's largest shopping centre, West Edmonton Mall. (WEM) There are around 800 stores in WEM, and it also has a giant water park, a man-made lake, a skating rink, two mini-golf courses, 21 movie theatres, a Vegas-style casino and an amusement park with 25 rides and attractions. You can also try various outdoor sports and activities; cross-country, skiing, ice skating, picnic, golf, hiking, and so on in this city.

National Parks

Elk Island National Park is located 45 minutes east of Edmonton.

There's plenty of wildlife available for viewing along the trails at this popular park.

It is also a birdwatcher's paradise, with more than 230 species living in the park. There are 2 different campgrounds, the 80 site Sandy Beach Campground and the Oster Group Campground for larger groups.

Recreation

The park is open year-round for recreation. There are over 90 kilometers of trails, which draw thousands of cross-country skiers every year, a nine-hole golf course, and picnic areas. The park also features several lakes, which are ideal for short canoe trips.

 Jasper National Park is 370 km west of Edmonton;

a four and a half hour drive. Jasper is a year-round playground.

The list of things to do in and around Jasper is almost unlimited.
