Small Town Program for Junior/Senior High School Students

Jasper College works with small towns located 200-250 km drive from Edmonton.

Students can enjoy Canadian nature like farms, lakes, and forests with Canadian students. Jasper College cooperates with their school boards so that students can study English as a Second Language Program in their schools in the morning and take part in recreational activities in the afternoon. Most students stay with Canadian families, which have similar age children.

Length of Program

Students can start the program every Monday throughout the year.

 Two-week short-term program to a one-year long-term program

If students take the program between September and Jun, they can attend classes with Canadian students. Even if students take program in July and August for summer vacation, they can still make friends with Canadian students because they work as teachers' assistants in the morning and take part in activities in the afternoon.

Students' Support Services

Jasper College has Japanese and Chinese coordinators. Our coordinators support students 24 hours a day.

Town

Jasper College has the support of small towns located with two hours drive from Edmonton. We can accept a large number of students at once in the different programs such as summer school, winter school, spring school and a school trip.

Homestay

Jasper College arranges Homestay with Canadian families who have similar age children. All Homestay families are carefully selected and screened by our coordinators. Their criminal records were also checked before they are accepted for Homestay. We basically arrange one student for one family. We can also arrange two students for one family if students would like to stay with their friends.
